Cantabria known as ‘Green Spain’ has a rich variety of landscapes. Mountains alternate with lush green valleys, breath-taking coastlines and beautiful unspoilt beaches. Fields and meadows stretch right down to the water edge. This area is famous for its first rate gastronomy and here you can sample typical local dishes such as "Cocido Montanes” (bean stew) and the “Quesada Pasiega” (cheesecake).
